Raymond Liang is the founder and owner of Modern Living Landscaping. Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, Raymond developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for beautiful outdoor spaces from a young age. He began his career in landscaping immediately after high school and has been passionate about transforming yards ever since.

In 2014, Raymond moved to the Renton, Washington area, where he continued to grow his expertise in creating functional and attractive landscapes. He frequently travels to countries such as Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and others to visit world-class arboretums and botanical gardens, drawing fresh inspiration for his designs and staying current with global landscaping trends and plant varieties. Driven by a desire to provide exceptional service, Raymond founded Modern Living Landscaping with a simple philosophy: treat every client like family.

Today, Raymond and his team bring the same care, attention to detail, and island-inspired pride — enhanced by international inspiration — to every project in the greater Seattle area. Ciara is the Operations Manager for Modern Living Landscaping, specializing in crew logistics, safety, and project management. With a background in graphic design, she enjoys expanding her horticultural knowledge and incorporating it into beautiful landscape designs for our clients. With her great attention to detail, she helps ensure that every project is completed to the highest quality to meet our customers’ unique needs.

Bringing a touch of Aloha to our Washington projects, James serves as our Remote Project Manager from Hawaii. As a licensed Realtor, James understands that a backyard is both a cherished family sanctuary and a smart investment. This unique perspective ensures that every landscape we design is managed with genuine care and precision, resulting in a stunning outdoor space that honors the home’s value as much as the people who live there.

Alan Liang is the Account Manager at Modern Living Landscaping. Based in Tokyo, Japan, he oversees and manages projects and specializes in modern Japanese landscape design.

Willy Delgadillo is the Landscape Manager at Modern Living Landscaping. Originally from Bolivia, he grew up working in agriculture and brings that strong foundation to his expertise in landscape design and hardscaping.

Jose Delgadillo is the Assistant Landscape Manager at Modern Living Landscaping. Originally from Bolivia, he developed a strong foundation in agriculture from a young age and brings that hands-on expertise to landscape design, hardscaping, drainage, and irrigation. Jose also specializes in operating heavy equipment, including skid steers and mini excavators.

Juan Paredes serves as Landscape Maintenance Lead at Modern Living Landscaping. With a strong focus on gardening and plant health, he ensures our landscapes thrive and also enjoys collaborating on creative landscape designs.

Isaac Martin is our newest addition to the MLL landscaping team, where he assists with a wide range of outdoor projects and helps keep our crews running smoothly. Born and raised in South Seattle, Isaac brings a strong local connection and a genuine passion for hands-on work.
From a young age, Isaac has enjoyed playing basketball, which has helped him develop the teamwork, endurance, and competitive spirit he brings to every job site. He is deeply interested in horticulture and gardening, constantly learning about plants, soil health, and landscape design. Isaac also has valuable experience with concrete work, adding another skilled trade to his growing toolkit.

Mailen is Modern Living Landscaping’s Office Assistant. She helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes with a friendly and thoughtful approach. She manages incoming calls, prepares the next day’s schedule, and works closely with the graphic designer to keep projects moving forward. Her attention to detail and genuine care help create a seamless and positive experience for both the team and clients.

Elyssa is responsible for supporting the company’s bookkeeping and financial record management. She helps keep financial records accurate and organized while providing reliable support to the team.

She values continuous learning and is always looking for opportunities to grow her knowledge and skills in accounting and finance.

Born on the top branch of a highly prestigious, award-winning oak tree, Milo realized early on that a standard life of photosynthesizing and blowing in the wind just wasn’t cutting it. While other leaves were content just changing colors in the fall, Milo was busy studying the clean lines of perfectly manicured hedges from afar.

Determined to elevate local curb appeal, Milo officially joined Modern Living Landscaping after a dramatic, perfectly timed gust of wind landed them right in the team’s trimmer bin.

Milo oversees the final inspection of every project. When not inspecting the crew’s edging work or tucked into their favorite pocket, Milo enjoys sunbathing, staying well-hydrated, and strongly advocating against the use of leaf blowers on weekends.
